Tips for dealing with difficult participants

One of the BIG questions I get asked when running the Crash Course in Facilitation is….”what are your tips for dealing with difficult participants?”

Great question – and there’s usually a multi-step answer. The first step is to understand ‘difficult’. Is the participant going out of their way to be ‘difficult’? Is it a case of frustration? Misunderstanding? Or is it me – the facilitator – who’s causing the difficulty?

Here’s some ideas and strategies to apply as a facilitator in Dealing with difficult participants

PS – if you’re working with groups and teams and facing challenges – I need your advice.  I’m trying to better understand the key challenges that facilitators like you are facing right around the world.

PPS – so I’ve developed the Global Facilitation Survey . Please take just 11 minutes of your time to complete the survey. Once done you’ll get instant access to more easy to implement resources. And one lucky respondent will get a half day of coaching and consulting valued at $1000.00

These will help you in working effectively with groups and teams. They’ll also assist your engagement and promotional efforts.

PPPS – Act now – the Global Facilitation Survey closes on Monday 4th June.
